Mission Statement
New Beginnings Bluegrass Inc. is a nonprofit agency supplying housing and support services in Fayette County for people diagnosed with mental illness to improve their quality of life and enable them toward self-determination.

Vision
Over time New Beginnings Bluegrass Inc. aims to reduce the waiting list of prospective residents by providing more housing in Fayette County and the surrounding area. This will be achieved by attracting funds and services from interested donors, corporate sponsors and volunteers through our efforts to raise community awareness of our goals and activities.

Housing
New Beginnings Bluegrass Inc. offers a variety of permanent housing coupled with support services in Fayette County: independent living, shared housing and supervised group home living. Residents pay no more than 30% of their income for rent. Utilities, including telephone and cable service, are provided by New Beginnings Bluegrass Inc. Properties are maintained by New Beginnings Bluegrass Inc.

Support Services
All residents at New Beginnings Bluegrass Inc. are supported by an Outreach Worker on our staff, who is responsible for encouraging the pursuit of achievable goals and self-sufficiency. Individual needs are assessed on a range of life skills—housekeeping, grooming, sociability, money management, etc.—and help is provided to improve each person's ability to carry out the demands of everyday living. In addition, our Outreach Workers arrange transportation for and can accompany residents to jobs and appointments.

New Beginnings Bluegrass Inc. is an affiliate of the Bluegrass Mental Health/Mental Retardation Board.

Accordingly. the personal information you provide is stored in a secure location acces-sible only by designated staff, and is used only for the purposes for which you provided the information.
