Make a Difference Today

Housing Programs

The goal of New Beginnings, Bluegrass is to provide quality housing and support services to individuals with serious mental illnesses (SMI). At New Beginnings, we believe that everyone has a fundamental human right to safe, decent, and affordable housing. For more than two decades, our agency has been committed to continually developing and implementing housing programs to help meet the needs of individuals with SMI in the Lexington, Kentucky area. Our services are built on the evidence-based practice of Permanent Supportive Housing, a model that is nationally recognized as a proven and cost-effective solution to the housing needs of persons with SMI. This intervention combines non-time-limited safe and affordable housing with voluntary and flexible support services to help people with SMI live more stable, productive lives in the community.
